Zones and Tracks[edit]

The zones in Hot Wheels: Beat That! are domestic environments. They have four tracks in each.
  • Bedroom - Floorboard Frenzy, Bedroom Brawl, Desktop Dash, and Bathroom Break.
  • Mini Golf - Spooky Sprint, Underwater Washout, Witch Doctor Way, and T-Rex Rush.
  • Attic - Train Set Twist, Science Speedway, Pinball Pursuit, and Hairpin Highway.
  • Bowling Alley - Bowling Ball Bash, Ten-Pin Tearaway, Arcade Alley, and Multi Lane Mash (Unavailable On DS Version).

Standard Weapons[edit]

Standard weapons can be gained by driving or jumping through a basic fire ring.
  • Mortars - Throw triple mortar shells at close range.
  • Tesla - Fires an energy ray that siphons opponent's speed to your car.
  • Rockets - Rockets fire straight ahead and explode upon impact. If the player is too close to the explosion, they will be slowed down by the blast. Comes with three rockets to be fired individually.
  • Parachutes - Player receives the ability to fire 3 shells straight ahead. When hit, the opponent will be slowed down by a parachute for a few seconds. Parachutes are fired individually.
  • Mine - One mine can be dropped behind the player's vehicle. It will be triggered whenever a car passes close by and then explode within a couple of seconds.
  • Shield - Protects your car from most weapons. Explosive weapons (rockets, mines, etc.) take off one of the three beams. If a shield is hit by a rocket (or explosive weapon) three times, it is destroyed, with no more energy fields to protect the car.
  • Smoke - Emits a smoke screen from the rear of your vehicle to limit opponent's view of the track.
  • EMP - Activating EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) disables all opponents' unfired weapons.
  • Boost - Blasts your car forward with fire tread marks coming from the rear wheels. Lasts roughly four seconds. It can also be activated by driving through a green fire ring.
  • Air Strike - A drone that flies around the track dropping mines on all opponents. When activated, a red airwave will appear above the car firing it.
  • Ice - A machine-fire of sharp ice chunks from your car. If it hits an opponent's car correctly, it will disable their steering for a few seconds.

Supercharged Weapons[edit]

Supercharged weapons can be received by activating Hot Wheels Power when the Hot Wheels bar is flaming. Activating Hot Wheels Power changes whatever standard weapon you have into its superior supercharged version. A weapon with three activations can only be supercharged if it has not been used. Supercharged weapons are essentially the same as their standard counterparts, except with special qualities.
  • Mortars - Fires two volleys of six mortar shells.
  • Tesla - Fires an energy ray at your opponent's car, disabling its steering for a few seconds.
  • Rockets - Still comes with three rockets, but the rockets now turn into self-guiding missiles, automatically swerving to hit your opponent.
  • Parachutes - Combines all three parachutes into one shot, and also adds auto-guiding, similar to rockets.
  • Mine - Turns one mine into three to be dropped individually.
  • Shield - Similar to standard shield, except blue. When hit by a weapon, instead of taking damage, the shield absorbs the opponent's weapon, giving you that weapon.
  • Smoke - Emits a smoke screen from the rear of your vehicle to limit opponent's view of the track, lasting longer than standard smoke. Explosive sparks also emit from your vehicle in the smoke.
  • EMP - Works the same way as standard EMP, except completely destroys unfired weapons, instead of temporarily disabling them.
  • Boost - Works the same way as standard Boost, blasting your car forward, except you have three to activate individually.
  • Air Strike - Like standard Air Strike with improved features, including longer duration and more frequent Mine dropping,
  • Ice - Auto-guiding ice missiles/chunks. When fired, they will automatically steer to any opponent's car, if it is near enough. It disables steering, just like the machine ice. This weapon has three fires.

Fire Rings[edit]

Fire rings are how you obtain weapons. There are three types of fire rings.
  • Standard Fire Ring - This is how you obtain all standard weapons. (See above)
  • Blue Fire Ring - When activating a blue fire ring, you can get select supercharged weapons, but not any of them. Through a blue fire ring, you can only get supercharged versions of Tesla, EMP, Rockets, and Air Strike.
  • Green Fire Ring - When you drive through a green fire ring, you activate a standard boost. You cannot supercharge this, as it is instantly activated the instant you drive through the ring.
